As a similar presence yet a completely separate entity, our sole contemplation during the making of Ambarrukmo was: how do we make something already so majestic even more astounding, exponentially even bigger than itself?

Welcoming the core of Yogyakarta means embracing the land upon which it is built—the diverse land of Java. Ambarrukmo showcases the charms of Javanese stories and values through solid visual directions and ornaments. Our exploration of meanings through various life-like elements eventually leads to its rebirth as The Gateway of Java.
